Aotea is a modern spacious, single-storied house that is wheelchair friendly and convenient for elderly guests. The open plan living space centres around a fully equipped kitchen, with views out to the lake and mountains. Generous lounge seating, a cosy log burner and expansive windows create a lovely space to relax with family or friends, or gather in the evening to wind down with Sky TV.
Of the three spacious queen bedrooms, 2 include ensuite bathrooms – one of which is wheelchair friendly. Another 2 bedrooms and a third bathroom in the hallway makes this a great value holiday home. Accessed internally, the large garage allows easy movement between the house and car in any weather, plus plenty of storage for water sport or ski gear. It also houses a washing machine and clothes dryer. The living areas are wheelchair friendly, however the house is not suitable for electric wheelchairs.
Loosely translated from the Maori language Aotea means ‘white cloud and is also known as the name of one of the mighty migratory canoes that brought the first Maori people to New Zealand. Situated only a 15 minute walk from the lakefront & Tekapo village centre eateries, Aotea has been thoughtfully designed to accommodate extended families and large groups seeking ease, comfort and views.
